On January 15, Chang Zhangli, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the Labor Union of CNBM, met with Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and his delegation at CNBM’s headquarters. The two sides communicated on cooperation on investment of multiple levels.

Chang Zhangli welcomed Laziz Kudratov and his delegation, expressed gratitude to the Uzbek government for its support for CNBM’s operations, and gave a brief introduction to its overall planning and investment and business in Uzbekistan. He said that, under the guidance of five development concepts, China has embarked on a new stage that emphasizes high-quality development, accelerated the transformation of industries that manufacture traditional products, and fared well in product quality and technological innovation. It is time to promote solid advances of the Belt and Road Initiative and expand cooperation in international production capacity. As the world’s largest provider of a versatile range of building materials, CNBM is a competitive player in basic building materials, new materials, geological surveys, engineering and technical services, and power generation from waste heat, which indicates that there is broad space for cooperation with the Uzbek government and Uzbek companies.

Laziz Kudratov thanked CNBM for its contribution to the economic development of Uzbekistan, and introduced the development of its basic building materials sector and how self-reliant the domestic market is. He said that Uzbekistan boasts a rapidly development economy, a stable social environment, a favorable investment environment, and beneficial tax policies for foreign investment. He welcomed CNBM to expand its cooperation with Uzbekistan in investment, further develop an array of sectors including basic building materials, decorative materials, insulation materials, and materials for glass production, and cater to the markets surrounding Uzbekistan such as Central Asian and CIS countries.

After that, Chang Zhangli accompanied Laziz Kudratov to visit CNBM's exhibition hall.
