On July 25, Li Xinhua, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of CNBM, met with Ryan Ajuri Ngelale, Special Envoy for Climate Action and Senior Advisor to the President of Nigeria, at CNBM’s headquarters. They discussed how to enhance communication and exchanges, develop green and low-carbon industries, and promote cooperation on investment of multiple levels.
Li Xinhua extended hearty welcome to Ajuri Ngelale's delegation, expressed gratitude to the Nigerian government for its support to CNBM, and introduced CNBM's overall structural plan, as well as its investment and business in Nigeria. He said that it has been 15 years since CNBM's entry into the Nigerian market. Over these years, CNBM has established a solid footing in engineering and technical services, high-quality float glass, and colored stone tiles. In the future, it will continue to follow up on the planning of the new energy free trade zone in Nigeria, formulate a regular interaction mechanism, expand cooperation with Nigeria in infrastructure development, factory construction, and new energy, reach a stronger consensus and build up mutual trust, and join hands with more Chinese companies in the development of Nigeria.
Ajuri Ngelale thanked Li Xinhua for his reception and introduced the latest economic status in Nigeria and the development plan of the new energy free trade zone. He pointed out that Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa and has long maintained friendly relations with China. He hoped to learn from Chinese experience in economic development and introduce more top-notch Chinese companies to Nigeria. With a friendly partnership with Nigeria, CNBM has achieved remarkable achievements in the materials industry in recent years. In the future, the new energy free trade zone will bring new opportunities for cooperation between the two sides. Therefore, it is hoped that the two sides will expand cooperation in new energy and new materials for mutual benefit and win-win results.
Before the meeting, Li Xinhua accompanied Ajuri Ngelale's delegation to visit the exhibition hall of CNBM.
